Home Again
Note: This is an old post migrated from a bike racing blog I had for a time, GHBRA, or the Georgia Homeless Bike Racer Association. It was a pretty infromal log of our travel and experiences racing bikes as teenagers.
So after 22 days on the road and couches/air mattresses, I have finally come home, and to amazing weather no less.
I managed to get back to some singletrack, which was cool:
Jack rabbit trails are pretty rad, not too technical, super flowy, my kind of trails. (read: I don’t turn well)
Note: The original post referenced ngeorgiacycling.com, a site I ran that had trail and climb info for North Georgia. While the site is no longer available, it was an early attempt to catalog the great riding in the region.
Which brings me to next point, North Georgia Cycling is growing pretty quickly, started to get cool. I made a Facebook group, which is linked on the front page of the website, and that is growing well too.
Anywho, next up is Chattanooga, probably Arkansas, then I guess France. Game on.
After adventures with the Georgia Homeless Bike Racer Association that took us from the beautiful mountains of North Georgia to racing in the Bahamas, it’s good to be back on familiar trails. The contrast between tropical racing and Georgia’s spring weather is stark, but there’s something special about riding on home soil.
