Investment Review: Jericho Security

This post is part of my angel investing series where I review investments after they’re completed. These posts are not investment advice, solicitations, or offers of any kind. They are simply my thoughts on companies I’ve invested in and how they fit into my thesis.

For background on my approach to angel investing and my investment thesis, see my introduction to this series.

Company Overview

Jericho Security is building a new approach to security training for enterprises. They’re using AI to help better prepare employees for the rapidly changing threat landscape.

Thesis Fit

Macro trends:

  • Remote work has made security harder
  • Growing complexity of enterprise systems makes security harder
  • AI is making security harder

Founder fit:

  • Deep experience in enterprise security
  • Strong technical background
  • Clear understanding of enterprise sales and implementation challenges

Conclusion

This investment aligns well with my thesis around using AI/ML to solve increasingly complex enterprise problems. The security space is particularly interesting because the challenges are getting harder faster than traditional solutions can keep up. Who wins when AI gets 10x better? Bad actors. Jericho’s approach to simplifying zero trust implementation could be a game-changer for companies struggling with this transition.

Note: This review is written after the investment was made and is not intended to be forward-looking or to provide any form of investment advice. It represents my personal views and learning journey in angel investing.
